Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Junior League of Dallas. We invite you to fill out a Membership Interest Form (below) so that we can stay in touch with you as we begin the membership process for the 2011-2012 Provisional year. Below is a general overview of how the membership process works.
REQUIREMENTS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP
- Strong interest in volunteering in the Dallas community
- At least 22 years old and has not reached her 45th birthday by June 1, 2011
STEPS TO BECOMING A MEMBER
- ATTEND AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING (OPTIONAL): These optional meetings will take place in the fall, 2010.
- SECURE (3) SPONSORS:
- One sponsor will act as your lead sponsor.
- Although three sponsors are required, only one must be an Active member. The other two sponsors may be Sustainers (former Active members who are still involved in the JLD and pay dues).
- All sponsorship paperwork will be due January 14, 2011. Those new members needing help securing sponsors will be asked to request assistance from our Sponsor Pool by December 15th, 2010.
- ATTEND A PROVISIONAL MEETING IN MAY 2011
- PAY DUES IN MAY 2011: JLD annual dues of $200, one-time Provisional year dues of $100, and complete paperwork at the May meeting.
